Now that I have a bit more free time, I’m able to work on my blog more so I decided to bring back my Weekend Roundup series. I really like putting these lists together and sharing content that I find to be informational or inspiring. So keep reading and click on any of the links you feel called to.
- In this TED Talk, actress and activist Jane Fonda explains why she is passionate about the climate crisis. She discusses why she has been participating in civil disobedience through her Fire Drill Fridays demonstrations. Fonda also shares a few ways we can all do our part to help the environment.
- Interested in sustainable fashion? Check out these tips by Good On You on how to lower your clothing carbon footprint.
- This year’s Miss Montana USA, Merissa Underwood, is a passionate vegan and climate activist and has been facing backlash from her fellow Montanans. Seeing as Montana’s largest exports are agriculture and livestock, this is not really a surprise. Despite the insults and hate messages she has been receiving, Underwood is staying true to her values. She continues to promote plant-based diets and climate action.
- The lesson shared in this TED Talk by Holocaust survivor Werner Reich is so meaningful. His story shows that one small act of kindness can truly impact a person’s life and change it for the better.
- In wholesome content, Astronaut Christina Koch returned home from the International Space Station recently after 328 days in space, the longest single spaceflight by a woman, and her dog had the sweetest reaction.
- I read this article called “How to Compliment Someone Without Mentioning Their Looks” and thought it had some wonderful advice. Compliments about one’s personality or character are much more meaningful than compliments about a person’s hairstyle or shoe choice.
That’s all for today. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
