Hi friends! Today I’m sharing some things I loved during the month of October. I plan on doing monthly favorites every month because a) I always enjoy seeing other people’s monthly favorites, whether in video or blog form and b) I think sharing some of my favorite things each month spreads positive energy. So without further ado, below are some things I loved during the month of October.
Food: So Delicious Snickerdoodle Ice Cream
I had been wanting to try So Delicious’ snickerdoodle flavored ice cream for ages but was worried about the sugar content. I try not to have too
Clothing: Long Sleeve Shirts from Pact Apparel
I bought 2 new shirts from Pact Apparel this month because I needed some new long sleeves. I got the Lightweight Long Sleeve Tee in the color Dark Berry and the Three Quarter Sleeve Henley Tee in the color Spruce. I’ve already worn both of these shirts a few times and I love them. They are made from 100% organic cotton and are so soft and comfy. They will be perfect for fall and winter here in Miami. If you’re in the market for some affordable, sustainably made clothing, check out Pact.
Video: Meet Claire, Finding Beauty in the Sadness | My Last Days
This video moved me so deeply that I have to share it. My Last Days is an inspiring series by SoulPancake in which people suffering from a terminal illness share their advice on how to truly live and enjoy life. This particular episode follows Claire Wineland who was born with cystic fibrosis. She was such an inspiring young woman and had the most wonderful outlook on life. Claire was truly a ray of pure light in this world. Sadly, she passed away on September 2, 2018, a few days after receiving a lung transplant. It’s not fair that someone with such a beautiful soul left this world so young.
This video is just over 30 minutes long but if you have the time, I highly recommend watching the entire video. I promise it will inspire you to live your life more fully. Also, be warned, you will most likely cry a few times watching this.
Movie: A Star is Born
Umm, if you haven’t seen A Star is Born yet, what are you waiting for?! This movie is fantastic! The original music, the acting, the directing, and the cinematography were all spot on. I was very impressed with Bradley Cooper’s performance and directorial debut and Lady Gaga was equally as impressive in her portrayal of Ally. I recommend you go see A Star is Born if you haven’t already! Also, bring some tissues because you might cry at the end. I’m still not over the ending.
Show: Chilling Adventures of Sabrina
I grew up watching reruns of Sabrina the Teenage Witch so I was very excited when I found out that a new version of Sabrina was coming to Netflix. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is based on the comic series of the same name and it’s an adaptation of Sabrina the Teenage Witch. While the two shows share some similarities, they are very different from each other; where the 90s show is light-hearted and fun, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is dark and brings in more of the occult. I really enjoyed this new version and I can’t wait to see more. It was just released today that there will be a Christmas special coming in December!
Well, that’s all for this month. What are some things you’ve been loving recently? Let me know in the comments!
